Please call the attendance secretary in the main office to report student absences. Students should have a note from parent or physician upon return to school. In the event it becomes necessary for you to take your child from school early, please send him/her in with a note, to be given to the attendance secretary in the morning. We will arrange to have your child in the main office ready for sign-out upon your arrival.

13-18 days of absence not covered in any of the provisions in this policy as being legitimate reasons for absence from school will result in the following:

Computer generated parent notificaion letter to be sent home.

Attendance profile review for possible intervention via: Pupil Assistance Commitee, Crisis Intervention Counselor (when available), DYFS/Juvenile Division, 5 day court notice.

19 or more days of absence per year for any of the reasons outlined in the policy as not being legitimate, will be subject to a non-school attendance complaint filed in local Municipal Court.
